Meet the Team
Dave Harvey - Founder & Managing Director
Founded the company in 1995 following a long and varied career in both the logistics and licensed trades. Starting with just two drivers plus himself, Dave built the company around a strong customer focused approach, winning the majority of the business through word of mouth alone. Now with a strong core of permanent and part-time drivers, the company has grown to be the leading LGV driver agency in the mid-south west region. Not a person to rest on his laurels, and with over 30 years experience in the logistics industry, Dave can often still be seen out driving LGVs himself!
Neil Harvey - General Manager
Joined the company as General Manager in February 2008 after a successful career running various businesses in the South East. Neil has continued to grow the company from a sound foundation, and has been instrumental in forging new business relationships with customers and other driver agencies alike. Currently working with a number of key clients, Neil is steadily expanding the scope of the company's operations into new areas including covering work for major retailers and others.
Matt Haig - Head of Learning & Development
Matt joined the company in October 2007 after running training teams for a number of blue chip companies for over 8 years. A fully qualified and experienced trainer in the adult learning sector, and an experienced Class 1 LGV driver, Matt has developed the training arm of the company to meet the requirements of JAUPT Approved Training Centre status, and is also responsible for the creation and delivery of Driver CPC course material.
Warren Abbott - NVQ Training Manager
Following a successful career as a training consultant in the IT sector, Warren joined the company in February 2008. A fully qualified NVQ A1 Assessor and Teacher in the adult learning sector, Warren is primarily responsible for the management of the Driving Goods Vehicles NVQ being offered by the company from September 2009 onwards, and NVQ candidate assessments. As an experienced Class 1 LGV driver himself, Warren is mainly field-based working directly with the candidates and customers alike.
Adrian Bale - Driver Operations Controller
As a fully experienced Class 1 LGV driver and Hi-ab operator, Adrian is responsible for both co-ordinating the work placements for drivers on the 'desk', and for the 'on the job' training of new drivers on specific roles. A fully qualified Driver Assessor, Adrian also carries out new driver assessments for both the agency & customers alike. With over 7 years service with the company and previously in farming, Adrian is our resident 'guru' on all matters agricultural, Ro-Ro and animal feed transportation.
Dave Attwell - Driver Operations Controller
Having been with the company for over 3 years, Dave is a mainstay in the office co-ordinating the work placements for drivers. A fully experienced Class 1 LGV driver in his own right, Dave is also a specialist in the training and mentoring of new drivers in the bulk milk & farm collection sectors. With a 20 plus year background both as a driver and supervisor across many logistics operations, Dave is our expert troubleshooter when situations demand.
Mark Bernstein - Accounts Manager
Joined the company in October 2007 after a number of years working in the banking, mortgage & recruitment industries. As a former consultant and manager, he is primarily responsible for the smooth running of all matters financial within the company and Mark is the principle point of contact for any queries regarding payroll, invoices and credit control. Based at our offices in Yeovil, he can be reached on our main telephone number during normal office hours. If in doubt, give him a shout!
